Everyday Celebration Card Kit

I have to admit that I wasn't as excited about this card kit as the last one, but once I got going on it, it really grew on me and I had a lot of fun putting these cards together. I cut all the pieces as directed, but as usual I didn't copy the card layouts exactly. Actually, I think I changed every card in some way. I wanted all of them to either be birthday or Thank you cards, so I modified accordingly. It will be great to have a stash of cards that are masculine friendly! If you like what you see, you only have a couple days left to get your own kit! If you have your kit already, maybe something here will inspire you to get them made (maybe even a little differently!). Happy card making!

September Hostess Club Continued!

Well, I added a file folder tab to the layout for the club, and finished my coordinating page. I had fun with the pull tab where, when pulled, reveals our journal entries for each day of our getaway. Since I'm so big on the journaling end of things, it saved me a lot of room for more photos!

We had a great time scrappin' together! It'll be a fun year!

September Hostess Club

Life is Good
It's time to get some of those summer relaxing photos into our scrapbooks! As this is the first month of this year's hostess club, and I have some newbies signed up (Welcome!) I thought it would be good to do a layout which uses some of the fundamental (and fun) techniques like dry embossing, sanding and ink distressing. This layout can be further enhanced by adding brads, hinges or other embellishments at a later date. This treetops stamp set was a lot of fun to use!

Hope you enjoy!

Pages 1 and 2

Cute cut outs from the patterned paper (B&Ts) and sparkles add life to these pages.
Pages 3 and 4 really pack a lot of photos into the album! I printed the small ones 3x3 and then trimmed them slightly to leave the borders. I cut the flowers from one of the B&T papers and embellished them with some clear sparkles!

The final two pages of the book.

And the sun goes down on another holiday!
Here is the patterned paper for the back cover, too.

We're Back!

Okay, we've been back for a while now, but it's hard to get back into regular routines! Here's a photo of of my mom and her twin brother...the reason we went to Holland... to celebrate their 75th birthdays! Don't they look great! It was a wonderful party where we visited with so many of my aunts and uncles.
We had an amazing week with my cousin Jeannette and her family. We all clicked so well and enjoyed a great balance of sightseeing and just hanging out. We rode these bikes a lot while we were there and enjoyed how easy and convenient this mode of transportation was in Holland. Jayden and Erica loved the novelty of riding on the back of the bikes and no helmets!!!

With Monique

We stayed with my cousin Monique for 4 days. It was so great to see her again. She travels the world full time, so it was special that she took the time to be in Holland during our visit. She was taking us on a nice walk through the heather fields in Vierhouten when Brent took this photo. (Didn't realize so much undeveloped land existed in Holland!) The kids really enjoy Monique's company!

In Luxemburg!

In Luxemburg on a hike with the kids and in the city with just the adults. We had so much fun staying and visiting with our cousin Monique and her husband Egide. They were wonderful hosts and took us all around. What an amazingly beautiful country Luxemburg is!!!
